It was announced the other day that Ericsson is teaming up with Juniper and ECI Telecom to better provide to the 5G mobile network market. You can read more about that here.
In this article we'll take a closer look at the partnership dynamics between these three key companies.
Ericsson
Ericsson is excited about this deal that will help them get their solutions out into the world. The Ericsson CEO also really likes forming partnerships. Collaboration makes him feel happy, connected and like he is fulfilling his purpose in pushing the world forward.
He also enjoys the challenges that arise from working with others and finding kind and creative solutions that get everyone on the same page, working together and lead everyone to achieving the end goal.
He enjoys creating partnerships whenever he can. This is his strength, and bringing people together in positive ways like that is what leads him to success. Not much excites or pleases him more than creating meaningful connections with others.
Juniper
Juniper likes working with big companies like Ericsson because it provides their company with more visibility and exposure. Juniper isn't as excited as Ericsson is but they are still excited.
Juniper doesn't hate the business they're in, but in general they could be more enthused by it.
ECI Telecom
ECI Telecom is excited about this deal, it is a great opportunity for them to be a part of something big and showcase what they are capable of. Like with Ericsson, they like the business they are in and they like doing business.
Ericsson & Juniper Partnership Dynamic
There will be some issues in this partnership. Of course, this is nothing Ericsson's CEO can't handle with his zest for working through issues kindly and creatively.
Juniper just isn't at the same level of passion as Ericsson is about this initiative. This energy dynamic is what will result in Juniper not being able to deliver at times. Ekholm will need to find creative workarounds that will ease Juniper's load. There may be some unnecessary tasks, process elements or components that can be eliminated.
It will also be beneficial if he can get the Juniper team more pumped about this initiative. This can help Juniper be more engaged and will help them think creatively about workarounds and solutions of their own that will improve their ability to deliver.
Ericsson & ECI Telecom Partnership Dynamic
Ericsson and ECI Telecom will work very well together. They share similar energy and enthusiasm. They appreciate this initiative and partnership. ECI will still have some issues delivering at times, but ECI and Ericsson will have a wonderful time brainstorming and working on solutions together. They may need to include things they hadn't considered before. They will learn, grow and innovate together.
ECI Telecom & Juniper Partnership Dynamic
The ECI Telecom team is generally friendly and easy to work with, but they will have their clashes with the Juniper team. They have a hard time communicating with each other, find it hard to see eye to eye and may struggle with working together.
There may be some trust issues coming from Juniper techs. As well as more trust issues coming from the ECI overall team level.
The communication styles between the two companies are quite different and it is not the fault of either side. But the ECI team should let go of its trust issues and do its best to get along with the Juniper team. The Juniper team will already be more open and trying hard to get along with the ECI team which is why ECI needs to put in more effort.
Overall Partnership Dynamic
This partnership will for sure have its struggles. But there is strong potential to really achieve something wonderful together. The key is in improving the ECI and Juniper relationship. Ericsson can step in to help, but they can really only do so much. ECI and Juniper will need to sort out their own issues. That comes from ECI accepting the olive branch Juniper extends.
